We are excited to invite you to apply to host your next large-scale event at Mississauga Celebration Square, one of the premier event venues in the region. If you're planning a public event that will captivate audiences and bring the community together, our Large Event application process is now open. This is your opportunity to showcase your event in a vibrant and dynamic space that accommodates a wide variety of performances, festivals, and gatherings. We encourage you to submit your application and take advantage of all that Celebration Square has to offer!
Celebration Square is a popular location to host free outdoor, public events of all sizes with the entire venue capable of accommodating up to 30,000 people. With large open areas and adjacent smaller, intimate spaces, the Square is ideal for outdoor festivals, concerts and more.
To host an event at Mississauga Celebration, daily attendance must be 10,000 people during event season. Event season is from Victoria Day weekend until Thanksgiving weekend In addition to Celebration Square, Mississauga has parks across the City capable of hosting large events that attract less than 10,000 people. These spaces are not part of a competitive application process. If your event would be better suited at a park location, please contact celebration.square@mississauga.ca and we can review amenities and opportunities that exist elsewhere in the City.

Application Objectives
The Celebration Square Large Event Application program provides a venue to eligible organizations to create world class festivals and events. The event must focus on activities advance key priorities within Recreation and Culture Division of the City of Mississauga.
- To establish Mississauga Celebration Square as the foremost outdoor destination for world-class entertainment experiences, characterized by exceptional programming, iconic performances, and unparalleled audience engagement, thereby attracting visitors locally, nationally, and internationally, and solidifying the Square's reputation as a must-visit cultural hub renowned for its vibrant and diverse entertainment offerings.
- To enhance the cultural landscape and global appeal of Mississauga Celebration Square events by strategically curating and showcasing renowned international headliners, thereby attracting a diverse audience, fostering cross-cultural exchange, and positioning Mississauga as a premier destination for world-class entertainment experiences.
- To create a safe and welcoming space for families by providing programming suitable for all ages and that events are accessible to individuals of all abilities by providing barrier-free access, inclusive programming, and accommodations for diverse needs, thereby promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
- To implement eco-friendly practices and initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of events, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and promotion of sustainable transportation options.
- To generate positive economic benefits for the local economy by attracting visitors, increasing foot traffic to nearby businesses, and creating opportunities for local vendors and entrepreneurs to participate in event-related activities.
These objectives aim to guide the planning and execution of large rental events at Mississauga Celebration Square, with a focus on creating memorable experiences, fostering community connections, and promoting the city's vibrancy and cultural identity.
APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND DEADLINES
It is your responsibility to ensure that your application has successfully been completed and submitted prior to the application deadline.
Applications must be submitted online using the online application platform SurveyMonkey no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Friday, November 29, 2024.
If you do not receive email confirmation of your application submission within 24 hours, please contact Mississauga Celebration Square by email at MCS.Operations@Mississauga.ca or by telephone at (905) 615-3200.
Contract: Approved events will receive a Facility Rental Contract outlining all Terms and Conditions, and a Letter of Agreement outlining any requirements specific to the event. These must be signed by an individual within the group with authority to enter into a binding agreement with the City. The City of Mississauga may rescind approval for an event at any time if the Terms and Conditions in the Facility Rental Contract or the requirements in the Letter of Agreement are not met.
